Scorched falling from the heavens,
Spreading wings flaming,
Crowning the sun,
De-deified, mortal again,
Smiling , crashing through the earth.
Humans judging,
Some laughing,
The children cry.
As the sun falls,
Horns breach the skull
plunging the world into darkness.
The pious speak of the end,
The angels watch in awe,
As the earth opens its pit,
Diving down glowing red,
Molten core churning,
Eyes open slowly,
Twisted souls,
Drowning in lava.
Eyes look back,
The shadows creep,
Smoke surrounds
Whispers of promise,
I hear nothing.
